By accessing our website or booking any tour or service with Kerala Holiday Tours ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a signed booking form (or written email confirmation) and the applicable deposit payment. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our sole discretion. All bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
A deposit of 30% of the total tour price is required to secure a booking. The remaining balance is due no later than 15 days before the tour commencement date.
All prices quoted are in Indian Rupees (₹) unless otherwise stated. Prices include services explicitly mentioned in the itinerary and exclude items such as international or domestic flights, travel insurance, visa fees, gratuities, personal expenses, and any activities not listed in the package description.
Our Kerala tour packages may include houseboat stays in Alleppey, Ayurvedic spa treatments, spice plantation visits, hill station excursions to Munnar, and wildlife safaris in Periyar — all of which are subject to seasonal availability and prior confirmation.
We reserve the right to revise pricing due to significant changes in exchange rates, government taxes, fuel surcharges, or peak season adjustments (particularly during Onam, Christmas, and New Year periods). Any price revision will be communicated to you in writing before the balance payment is due.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to hello@emeraldkeralatours.com. The following cancellation charges apply:
Please note that houseboat bookings on the Alleppey and Kumarakom backwaters may carry separate cancellation terms as per the houseboat operator's policy, which will be communicated at the time of booking.
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations, especially during the monsoon season (June–August) when weather conditions in Kerala can affect travel plans.
Requests to amend confirmed bookings (change of date, number of guests, or package) must be made in writing. Amendment fees may apply. We will make every effort to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability, particularly for houseboat stays, Ayurvedic resort bookings, and peak season travel.
We act as a tour operator and accept responsibility for the services we directly provide across Kerala, including backwater cruises, guided tours, accommodation arrangements, and transfers. We are not liable for any failure of performance, injury, damage, or loss arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather (including monsoon flooding), acts of government, civil unrest, or events of force majeure.
Our liability for any claim is limited to the total price paid for the tour by the affected guest.
You are responsible for ensuring you hold valid travel documents (passport, visa) for travel to Kerala, India. You are responsible for purchasing adequate travel and medical insurance before your tour begins. We reserve the right to exclude any participant whose behaviour is deemed a risk to themselves, other guests, our staff, or the natural environment of Kerala.
We encourage all guests to respect local customs, temple dress codes, and the fragile ecosystems of the Western Ghats and Kerala backwaters.
You are responsible for assessing your own physical fitness to participate in activities included in your chosen package, such as trekking in Munnar or Wayanad, wildlife safaris, or water-based activities on the backwaters. Please inform us of any medical conditions, dietary requirements, allergies (particularly relevant for Ayurvedic treatments), or physical limitations at the time of booking so we can make appropriate arrangements.
Kerala's tropical climate means humidity and heat can be significant between March and May. We recommend guests stay well-hydrated and take precautions against mosquito-borne illnesses, particularly during and after the monsoon season.
We may take photographs or video footage during tours — including on backwater houseboats, at spice plantations, in hill stations, and at cultural events — for marketing and promotional purposes. By booking with us, you grant us permission to use such imagery. If you do not wish to appear in marketing materials, please notify us in writing before your tour begins.
Guests are requested to seek permission before photographing local communities, tribal areas, or religious ceremonies in Kerala.
Any complaints must first be raised with our on-site team or your assigned Kerala tour guide so we can attempt immediate resolution. If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, please submit a formal written complaint within 14 days of your return to info@indusodyssey.com. We are committed to responding within 7 working days.
